Front Range Defensive Arts

Front Range Defensive Arts is a Colorado Springs self-defense and martial arts training provider offering practical, safety-focused instruction for children, teens, and adults. Its approach combines responsible decision-making, awareness, confidence-building, and realistic skills designed for personal safety rather than sport fighting. Classes progress from fundamentals to scenario-based practice, helping students develop balance, striking, control, escapes, and sound decisions under pressure in a welcoming, supportive environment.

Programs include Lil’ Dragons for ages 3–6, youth Hapkido and TaeKwonDo for ages 6–12, and adult and teen Combat Hapkido and TaeKwonDo for ages 13 and up. Students aged 14 and older can also study Survival Centric courses covering unarmed defense, stick and knife skills, firearms and counter-firearms, close-quarters concepts, and Filipino and Pacific archipelago martial arts. The Kajukenbo Goldade Method blends striking, kicking, throws, takedowns, joint locks, and weapon-disarming techniques. Training may include small-group or private instruction, structured rank advancement, and progressive drills. Front Range Defensive Arts emphasizes safety, discipline, resilience, legal and ethical considerations, and skills students can adapt to real-world situations.
