Verhofstede Fruitsappen is a family-run fruit juice producer based in Eksaarde, Lokeren, Belgium. Its roots date to the early 1980s, when fruit grower Theo Verhofstede began cultivating fruit using integrated methods. After a storm and hail damaged his apple and pear harvest in 1986, he invested in a small press and turned the unsellable fruit into juice. That first production of 3,000 bottles marked the beginning of the Verhofstede juice range.

The company makes freshly pressed fruit juice from 100% fruit, with no added sugars, preservatives or colourings. Its range includes 17 flavours, and the website also offers recipes and information about the orchard, production process and places to buy its products.

Verhofstede welcomes visitors to its juice business for a guided tour and tasting, offering an opportunity to learn how fruit is turned into juice. The company also promotes activities connected to its orchard, including seasonal blossom walks.
