FSC Italia

FSC Italia is the Italian office of the Forest Stewardship Council, a global organization that promotes responsible forest management and care for the people who depend on forests. Its work supports the protection of plant and animal species, respect for Indigenous peoples’ rights, and the safety of forest workers. FSC Italia helps forest owners and managers understand and obtain Forest Management certification, which assesses whether forests are managed to preserve biodiversity and benefit local communities and workers.

For businesses, the organization provides information and support on FSC Chain of Custody certification. This system offers assurance that products carrying an FSC claim come from well-managed forests, controlled sources, or recycled materials. FSC Italia also provides training, introductory guidance, resources for consultants and companies, and support on using FSC trademarks. Its services include information on certification standards, group certification, project certification, controlled wood, and relevant European regulations. The organization promotes certified products, shares news and research, and runs projects, events, and partnerships to encourage responsible forest management and sustainable choices among businesses and consumers.
