FSHD Sports Event is a charitable sporting event in Utrecht, developed from the former SingelSwim Utrecht. Its 10th special edition is scheduled for Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Haarrijnseplas, a location chosen for its officially designated swimming water. The event brings people together to take part in swimming, stand-up paddleboarding, and walking, with options for both recreational participants and keen athletes. Individuals can register on their own or as a team with family, colleagues, or friends.
The event’s central purpose is to raise money for research into FSHD (Facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy), an inherited, chronically progressive condition that gradually weakens skeletal muscles.
