Flugschule Ostschweiz

Flugschule Ostschweiz (FSO) is a Swiss flight school based in Kirchberg, focused on the experience and skills of free flight. With more than 40 years of experience, the organization brings together knowledge of paragliding and hang gliding, both motorized and non-motorized. It says more than 25,000 people have taken its introductory day and over 4,000 have been trained as pilots.

FSO’s offerings include introductory experiences, pilot training and further education, theory, high-altitude flights, examinations, safety courses, private instruction and tandem passenger flights. It also organizes excursions and international flying trips, with destinations and activities shaped by conditions and the season, including hike-and-fly outings. For people choosing equipment, the team provides advice, sells flying gear, and offers repairs and maintenance. FSO also helps prospective pilots make informed decisions about where to learn, drawing on its long experience. From local sites in the Alpstein to flying areas abroad, the school presents flying as an exciting activity to enjoy with attention to safety. Its office is at Lilienstrasse 3 in 9533 Kirchberg.
