FTAC Academy provides firearms training and certification in Kansas, with safety as its foremost priority. Its courses welcome beginners and cover concealed carry, firearm fundamentals, personal protection, shotgun and rifle training, and Kansas Hunter Education. Students can also prepare for range qualification, with additional training available if they need to re-qualify.

The academy offers NRA-certified instructor training, including courses for Basic Pistol, Basic Shotgun, Basic Rifle, personal protection, and range safety. Instruction is led by instructors holding credentials from the NRA, the Kansas Attorney General, NSCA, and other relevant programs.

Classes are available on weekends and evenings, with private, one-on-one, and group scheduling for many courses. FTAC Academy works with individuals as well as businesses, churches, youth groups, shooting teams, and other organizations, and can develop training to suit a group’s needs. Instructors may travel to a suitable teaching and shooting facility. Classroom and range sessions are held on private property near Augusta Airport; location details are provided before class.
