FTV Spandau

FTV Spandau e. V. is a Berlin gliding club based at an airfield near Neuruppin, offering a welcoming introduction to aviation just outside the capital.

The club gives prospective pilots the opportunity to learn both gliding and touring motor glider flying (TMG) with support from its flight instructors and fellow members. Those curious about flying can get in touch, visit for a day, meet the team and take an introductory flight with an instructor. This provides a chance to try handling a glider and discover how activities at the airfield work.

Visitors who would simply like to enjoy the view can book a flight in a two-seat glider with an experienced pilot, taking in Neuruppin and its surroundings from the air. Alongside training and passenger flights, FTV Spandau highlights the social side of club life and welcomes people interested in getting involved. The club also shares information about its aircraft, airfield, instructors, training process, safety and costs, helping newcomers understand what to expect before they begin
