FTVDB is an independent news and public-update reference focused on Amazon devices. Maintained by independent developer Ighor July, it organizes publicly visible firmware and system-component metadata to help readers follow device software and hardware activity. The site covers device families and models, presenting available details such as build, version, checksum, and date. Visitors can browse firmware records and system components, review version histories and recent database changes, and read news and guides about emerging devices, certifications, and update activity.

FTVDB also provides documentation, including an FAQ, manual, and API docs, and accepts source URL submissions that are checked before publication. Its stated purpose is documentation, public-update research, and metadata preservation. The project does not host, mirror, modify, proxy, or distribute firmware, packages, or app files, and it does not provide instructions for bypassing device security. FTVDB is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Amazon. The site also links to the maintainer’s technical writing and independent software.
