Fuchitex Innovation Materials, formerly known as Fuchitex Weaving, has a rich history dating back to its founding in 1963 in Taipei. Initially specializing in winter fleece fabric, the company underwent a transformative shift in 1970 to produce upholstery and curtain fabrics for home decor, which proved to be a successful venture. Collaborating with Toyota in 1983 led to an expansion into the automotive interior fabric market, followed by overseas investments in 1992 and the supply of leather for car seats in the following year.

Under the leadership of Chen Ming-tsung since 1998, Fuchitex expanded into rail and bus markets, further diversifying into the aerospace interior market in 2003. To enhance their product offerings, they added blanket materials and synthetic leather services in 2015 and 2017.
