Fudoshin Karate

Fudoshin Karate is a karate club based at Oasis Academy Wintringham in Grimsby, offering training for children, adults, and families in a safe, welcoming environment. Its programme presents karate as more than a martial art, combining physical fitness and self-defence with focus, discipline, confidence, resilience, and respect for others.

New students can begin with a free introductory session before enrolling in a structured four-week foundations course. The course includes eight beginner-designed sessions and teaches karate’s three fundamentals: kihon (basics), kata (forms), and kumite (partner work). Participants receive a karate uniform and belt, a training licence and insurance through the British Karate Association, access to online learning resources, and a completion certificate.

Full membership offers further opportunities, including gradings held every three months, special courses, social events, and members-only articles and online courses. Members also receive a training handbook with a personal grading record and tailored progress feedback. Fudoshin Karate emphasizes steady development, helping students build skills and confidence at any age, both inside and outside the dojo.
