Fueco

Fueco is a Dutch ecological and nitrogen consultancy that helps project owners, advisory firms and public-sector organisations address nature-related requirements in spatial development. Its ecologists and nitrogen specialists work together to provide connected research and advice, supporting projects from early exploration through reporting and permit applications. Services include nitrogen calculations and deposition studies, ecological preliminary assessments, appropriate assessments, quick scans, protected-species surveys, permit-application support, and ecological guidance and work protocols.

Fueco assesses potential effects on Natura 2000 areas, protected species and woodland, then explains what findings mean for project decisions and next steps. Depending on a project’s location, planned activities and available information, the company identifies suitable research and any measures or further procedures that may be needed. Its work can also help establish when additional permits are not required, with conclusions and assumptions documented for project use.

Fueco provides support at sites throughout the Netherlands, with agreed scopes, costs, schedules and deliverables, and a dedicated contact for coordination
