About fuelGR
These applications are a successful example of the added value that can be derived from open data collected by various organizations. The applications were developed by students of the Department of Informatics Engineering at the former TEI of Thessaly, under the guidance of Professor Fotis Kokkoras. The fuelGR app allows you to view fuel stations and prices in Greece on a map.
Depending on the version, the app receives data based on the device's GPS or by selecting the region on the map. Additionally, you can specify the type of fuel and preferences for premium versions, companies, and price history. The application is the only one with enriched data and verified positions for most fuel stations.
As a result, you can even see photos of the stations (provided by Google StreetView) or request directions to them
