About FUG
Foreldreutvalget for grunnopplæringen (FUG) is a national committee that provides guidance for parents and school staff on issues related to the everyday life of students. FUG offers advice and support to parents regarding collaboration between home and school, ensuring that the voice of parents is heard in educational policy matters. They also conduct lectures on how to strengthen the partnership between home and school.
FUG covers a wide range of topics including development interviews, cooperation in the classroom, parent meetings, and more. They also address issues such as bullying, physical learning environments, and digital school life. In addition to their guidance and resources, FUG conducts parent surveys, compiles reports, and answers frequently asked questions.
With the aim of fostering effective collaboration between parents and schools, FUG is dedicated to empowering and supporting parents in their role in their child's education
