Fundacion Hematologica Colombia

Fundación Hematológica Colombia (FUHECO) is a Colombian blood bank dedicated to supporting donor wellbeing and helping save lives through the collection, processing, and distribution of blood components. With more than 24 years of experience and 14 locations nationwide, the foundation serves individual donors, patients, and business partners. Its services include appointments, organized blood donation drives for companies, and information for people interested in becoming regular or VIP donors. FUHECO also promotes healthy lifestyles, emphasizing exercise, adequate rest, and nutritious eating as part of its donor wellbeing approach.

The foundation reports more than 50,000 donors and over 110,000 donations in 2025, alongside a network of national strategic partners and committed staff. It states that it was the first blood bank in Latin America to achieve CAT certification and has maintained it through consecutive recertifications since 2014. This certification supports its focus on quality and safety across blood component processes. Through its locations and partnerships, FUHECO works to make donation accessible across Colombia and connect community participation with lifesaving care.
