FUHEM

FUHEM is an independent, nonprofit foundation dedicated to advancing social justice, deepening democracy, and promoting environmental sustainability. It pursues these aims through education and research, public debate, and work on social and environmental issues. Its educational area supports children and young people through a network of four schools, serving around 4,600 students and employing approximately 400 professionals. FUHEM also provides training and advice, and develops educational resources that connect learning with social and ecological challenges.

Through its Ecosocial area, the foundation offers a space for reflection, discussion, and exchange, examining major trends and changes from a critical, interdisciplinary perspective. Its publications include the Ecosocial Report, themed dossiers, the Papeles journal, and works on inclusive and critical economics. FUHEM’s online bookshop sells these publications alongside teaching materials and resources for schools. The foundation also makes spaces available for rental and invites donations to support its work. Across its educational, research, publishing, and outreach activities, FUHEM encourages informed engagement with the challenges shaping society and the environment.
