Fullbeans Studio

Fullbeans Studio is an independent game development studio based in Melbourne, founded by programmers Halen Boyd and Jay Wingate. The studio creates games with a flair for the dramatic, guided by its design principle that “there should be shouting.” Its featured commercial title, Operation Armstrong, is described as an asymmetric virtual reality stealth party game. One player uses a VR headset to infiltrate enemy outposts, while teammates use smartphones to provide hacking support, working together to stop lunar robots from sending the moon crashing into Earth.

Fullbeans also develops smaller experimental games, including Neon Rush, Mount Mayhem and Neon Assembly, created for game jams and recognised with strong placement results. Beyond its own games, the studio offers work-for-hire development, drawing on experience with large-scale Unity projects, virtual reality and full-stack web development. It also provides educational services, including a tested Unity curriculum for students aged 14 and older.
