Fumiki's

Fumiki’s is an intimate Japanese fine-dining restaurant in Robertson, Brisbane, offering an eight-seat, counter-style omakase experience. The restaurant brings together Kyoto kaiseki, a traditional sequence of carefully composed dishes, and Edomae sushi, known for its elegant preparation and Tokyo heritage. Guests watch the food being prepared before them as the chef presents a seasonal course of around 18 dishes, with ingredients, flavours, textures, presentation and pacing thoughtfully coordinated.

Owned and led by Chef Fumiki Hayashi, the restaurant draws on his more than 30 years of experience in Japanese cuisine. His background includes work at respected restaurants and hospitality venues in Japan and Australia, including Sumiya Ryokan in Kyoto. Fumiki’s serves set lunch and dinner omakase menus, with a private-room option for small groups. Its offering is focused on the dine-in experience: the restaurant does not provide à la carte meals or takeaway, and its seafood-centred menu may not suit guests who avoid raw fish or have certain dietary restrictions.
