About FundaçãoLivroLeitura
Fundação Livro e Leitura is a non-profit private organization established in 2004. Their main focus is on promoting culture, particularly through their flagship event, the National Book Fair of Ribeirão Preto. In addition to the book fair, the foundation also undertakes various other cultural projects.
The upcoming 22nd edition of the book fair, with the theme Between extremes, duality: literature as a connection, aims to explore the diversity and engage in reflective discussions. The fair will honor renowned Brazilian literary figures such as the singer and composer Gilberto Gil and journalist and writer Gilberto Dimenstein. The event will feature more than 400 activities spread across different locations and is open to the public, providing a rich and entirely free program.
Additionally, the foundation conducts interviews through its online show Na Estante, where guests share objects that have influenced their artistic production. The foundation also collaborates with schools, organizing projects like Terra e Água to cultivate a love for reading among elementary school students.
