FAPEC is a foundation whose work is closely connected with the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS). Its activities span education, research, innovation, public engagement and social and economic development. The foundation supports the delivery of UFMS courses, events and services, and publishes information about public examinations, selection processes, calls for proposals and procurement opportunities. Its website also provides institutional documents, management reports, official publications and news.

FAPEC’s projects address a range of community and environmental needs. Examples include vocational training for people in prison, sustainable agriculture and permaculture initiatives with vulnerable communities, research into the effects of fire and flooding on Pantanal biodiversity, and mapping areas with potential for efficient irrigation. The foundation also promotes technology transfer, training and social intervention, and participates in research and innovation related to green hydrogen through UFMS and RBCIP. Through these initiatives, FAPEC connects academic knowledge with practical projects and public services. Its site offers information about programs, notices, events and ways to contact the foundation and its examinations team.
