The Maria e Oliveira Foundation is a social solidarity institution based in Alcobaça, Portugal, with a history of supporting older people and local families. Its origins date to 4 May 1913, when founder Maria do Carmo Eliseu e Oliveira welcomed 12 older people into her home near the Monastery of Santa Maria de Alcobaça. The institution later received official recognition and became an IPSS (Private Institution of Social Solidarity) in 1984.

Today, the foundation provides residential care for older people, a day centre and home support services. It also operates O Ninho, a nursery and kindergarten, and USALCOA, the University of Alcobaça for older adults. Its services have expanded over time to include a social centre and social housing; in 2009, it built 19 homes for families in need in the municipality. Through these programmes, the foundation serves people at different stages of life, combining care, education, community activities and housing support. Its work is rooted in a long-standing commitment to meeting local social needs.
