Fundação Millennium bcp is a Portuguese foundation established in 1991 by Banco Comercial Português to support the development of the communities in which the bank operates. Its work focuses on cultural patronage, science and knowledge, and social solidarity. Culture is its principal area of activity: the foundation supports projects in the arts, the preservation of historical and architectural heritage, modern and contemporary art, and initiatives that encourage interdisciplinary exchange and wider access to culture.

In science and education, it backs educational and research projects, including postgraduate programmes at Portuguese universities, child-health research, knowledge-sharing initiatives and scholarships. Its social support reaches organisations working with children, young people, people affected by poverty and people with disabilities, while also encouraging effective and sustainable use of resources in the third sector.

The foundation also presents and shares the Millennium bcp art collection through loans and the Galeria Millennium bcp. At the Núcleo Arqueológico da Rua dos Correeiros in Lisbon, visitors can explore archaeological remains uncovered during building works and arrange a guided visit.
