Fundação ProAR is a Brazilian organization bringing together health professionals, patients and supporters to improve access to diagnosis and treatment for chronic respiratory diseases. Its work focuses on asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), lung cancer, bronchiectasis and cystic fibrosis, and tuberculosis. Guided by its goal of helping people live with better breathing, the foundation shares information for both patients and healthcare professionals and promotes awareness of respiratory health.

The organization’s resources include disease information, educational materials, articles, news, videos, photo galleries and answers to common questions. It also features campaigns, events, public consultations and updates from the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA). Patients can find information about reference centres, while professionals can access dedicated news and documents. Fundación ProAR also participates in initiatives addressing health equity and patient involvement, and provides a transparency channel and contact information. Through its projects, partnerships and volunteer opportunities, the foundation works to expand understanding of respiratory conditions and support people affected by them. It is based in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil.
