The Faustino Orbegozo Eizaguirre Foundation is a Spanish nonprofit organization established in 1975 to support initiatives that advance social and health-related wellbeing, education, and culture. Its work brings science and the arts closer to society through two specialist institutes. The Institute of Art and Humanities, founded in 1978, promotes visual arts, encourages artistic research, and supports and trains artists from the Basque Country and other communities. The Foundation also presents a virtual exhibition featuring works by artists it has sponsored, drawing on a collection of more than 200 paintings.
Its Institute for Research on Growth and Development, established in 1977, conducts interdisciplinary work on child physiology and health. Its research focuses on nutrition, physical growth and development, psychological development, and social adaptation, with broader programs addressing children with special needs, substance-use prevention, and older people. The Foundation makes growth studies, updated anthropometric tables and charts, and the Auxolog application available through its website.
