Fundación Pro Verde is a non-profit environmental organization based in Guatemala City. Our mission is to contribute to the conservation of the natural environment and sustainable development. We prioritize respect for cultural and gender diversity in all our work.

Our areas of focus include environmental education, solid waste management, protection of watersheds, environmental advocacy, open government, food security and nutrition, and international cooperation. In terms of education, we provide interdisciplinary training to promote values and citizenship. We also work at the municipal level to eliminate illegal waste dumps, implement appropriate programs for watershed management, and actively contribute to government policies and regulations related to the environment.

Through open government initiatives, we aim to enhance government performance and citizen participation, while promoting food security and ensuring adequate nutrition. We also collaborate with various stakeholders, both public and private, to optimize resource utilization through strategic alliances. With Guatemala's rich natural and cultural heritage under threat, we are dedicated to raising awareness and engaging communities in environmental conservation.
