Fundación Rheumatos

Fundación Rheumatos is a nonprofit organisation formed by people living with rheumatic diseases and multidisciplinary health and social care professionals. It works to defend the rights, interests and needs of people affected by rheumatic and musculoskeletal conditions, which can affect people at any age. The foundation brings together patient perspectives with expertise in areas including rheumatology, rehabilitation, psychology and social work.

Its work includes representing patients before public and social care institutions, offering information and guidance to patients and families, and fostering peer support. It also provides reliable educational content, workshops and resources to help people understand and manage their conditions. Through public awareness efforts, it promotes understanding of these diseases and supports research and improvements in care.

Fundación Rheumatos shares news and practical wellbeing guidance and brings patients, families and professionals together through its congresses. Its fifth congress, scheduled for November 5, 2026, in Málaga, features scientific and social sessions on topics such as treatment innovation, health promotion and childhood rheumatic diseases.
