Fundación Senderos is a Venezuelan nonprofit working to strengthen resilient rural communities through nature-based solutions and regenerative development. Based in La Mucuy, in Mérida, it promotes sustainable agriculture, soil restoration, biochar use, and locally appropriate construction. Its mission is to foster a regenerative culture through food and agriculture, combining community knowledge with practical innovation.

The foundation’s projects turn agricultural and forestry residues into useful resources. Its Biochar and Energy pilot produced biochar and Bokashi fertilizer, while supporting regenerative farming and coffee agroforestry with local families. At Casa La Lumbre, its community center and bioconstruction project, a biofactory produces biochar-based fertilizers for gardens, farms, and educational activities. Programs also help children, young people, and teachers learn about soil conservation, waste management, and environmental care.

Through the Mucu_y_Café initiative and La Lumbre Homestead, Senderos is developing complementary activities in coffee, fertilizers, animal production, and rural tourism. Digital monitoring supports transparent tracking of carbon removal.
