About Centro para Puerto Rico Sila M. Calderón
Centro para Puerto Rico Sila M. Calderón is a non-profit and non-partisan organization founded by former governor Sila M. Calderón.
With a vision of creating a more just and productive society in Puerto Rico, Centro para Puerto Rico offers programs and services focused on poverty, women's role in society, urban revitalization, ethical values, and social responsibility. Their programs are designed to provide the necessary training for the development of entrepreneurial initiatives, offering courses and workshops in business formation, leadership, and community development. They strive to empower entrepreneurs, particularly women, to contribute to the economic growth of Puerto Rican communities.
Located in the Santa Rita neighborhood of Río Piedras, Centro para Puerto Rico serves as the operational hub for the foundation. It offers a space for dialogue, education, research, and open gatherings for all individuals, regardless of their ideological affiliation or life situation. In addition to their programs, Centro para Puerto Rico also houses a specialized library that supports research in the foundation's focus areas, as well as an archive that preserves the collective memory of Puerto Rico.
By donating and supporting Centro para Puerto Rico, you can help create a more integrated society with better quality of life and opportunities for all. Join them in their mission to reduce poverty, promote equality, and foster ethical values and social responsibility
