About Fundación Starlight
Foundation Starlight is a pioneering organization focused on promoting cultural diffusion of astronomy, star tourism, and intelligent lighting for energy efficiency. Established after the International Starlight Conference in 2007, the foundation is dedicated to upholding the "Declaration on the Defense of the Night Sky and the Right to Starlight" (La Palma Declaration). By protecting the night sky, fostering astronomical knowledge, and driving sustainable local economic growth through astrotourism, Foundation Starlight aims to revolutionize sky conservation globally.
Central to its mission is the Starlight Certification system, endorsed by the UNWTO and IAU, uniting science and tourism for the first time.
