Fundación Tierra Austral fue creada a principios del 2012 como el primer Land Trust (u Organización Garante de Conservación) de Chile para trabajar activamente en la conservación de tierras, mediante acuerdos legales que permitan proteger áreas de conservación, tales como las Servidumbres de Conservación o el Derecho Real de Conservación.

About Fundación Tierra Austral
Fundación Tierra Austral has been working for over a decade to research, promote, and facilitate the protection of ecologically, scenically, and culturally valuable areas on private properties in Chile. They aim to support private landowners in taking voluntary actions to protect their lands by providing the necessary technical knowledge and guidance on their environmental value. They offer expertise in evaluating projects, establishing the Real Right of Conservation (DRC), and conserving ecosystems with high ecological value.
The foundation has successfully implemented various projects in different regions, such as Los Queñes, Teno, Chiloé, Quilpué, Paine, Futaleufú, and Panquehue, to protect and conserve diverse ecosystems and species. They provide educational illustrations and are actively involved in restoring ecological balance and promoting inclusive ecotourism. With a focus on supporting private land conservation, Fundación Tierra Austral plays a crucial role in preserving Chile's natural heritage for future generations
