Fundacja ADAPA

Fundacja ADAPA is a nonprofit foundation based in Gdynia, Poland, working to support people with autism and other developmental conditions, including intellectual disabilities, and their families. Established in 2007, it promotes social inclusion, personal development and greater independence through social and vocational rehabilitation, education and therapeutic support.

The foundation runs a vocational therapy workshop where participants build practical skills in areas such as everyday independence, crafts, computer use and printing. Some workshop products, including handmade jewellery, decorations and printed items, are offered at fairs. ADAPA also provides social skills training, functional assessments, therapy groups and interest clubs, with activities such as yoga, drama, basketball, music and city exploration. Its specialist consultations may include support from psychologists, therapists, sexologists and dietitians. The foundation also offers commissioned training on autism, diagnosis, therapy and narrative techniques such as social stories.

Through work placements, community activities and awareness initiatives, ADAPA seeks to reduce exclusion and help people with developmental conditions participate more fully in social and working life.
