Fundacja a KUKU

Fundacja a KUKU is a nonprofit organization based in the Leoncin area of Poland’s Masovian region. It works to support people at risk of social exclusion, particularly children and people with disabilities, including those from low-income or socially marginalized rural communities. Its central service is the “W Sercu Kampinosu” Occupational Therapy Workshop in Górki, which welcomes adults with disabilities and provides free participation and transport.

The workshop offers individualized rehabilitation and therapeutic activities led by occupational therapists and supported by a psychologist, rehabilitation specialist, and career adviser. Participants build independence, personal and social skills, and employment potential through practical training, including cooking and budgeting. The program also includes a daily meal, monthly pocket money as part of economic skills training, and cultural and educational outings to places such as cinemas, theatres, and museums.

Beyond its workshop, the foundation promotes community engagement and education for children, young people, and families. Individuals can support its work through donations, volunteering, or allocating 1.5% of their Polish income tax to the organization.
