O fundacji - Fundacja Pomocy Osobom z Niepełnosprawnością Intelektualną „DOM” powstała w 1991 roku z inicjatywy rodziców osób niepełnosprawnych. Podstawową działalnością Fundacji, jest prowadzenie od 1994 roku Warsztatu Terapii Zajęciowej dla 30-tu osób z upośledzeniem umysłowym, na zasadach określonych w Rozporządzeniu Ministra Pracy i Polityki Socjalnej z dnia 08.09.1997 r. i z dnia 26.08.1998 r. Fundacja “DOM” działa w zakresie pożytku publicznego, zgodnie z Ustawą o działalności pożytku publicznego i o wolontariacie (Dz. U. Nr 96 poz. 873 i 874).

Fundacja DOM is a Polish public-benefit foundation dedicated to supporting people with intellectual disabilities. Established in 1991 at the initiative of parents of people with disabilities, it focuses on rehabilitation, personal development, social inclusion, and greater independence. Since 1994, the foundation has operated an Occupational Therapy Workshop serving 30 people with intellectual disabilities. The workshop is its principal activity and provides a structured setting for therapeutic and rehabilitative support. Its operation follows regulations issued by Poland’s Ministry of Labour and Social Policy.
The foundation’s broader aims include organizing assistance in rehabilitation, encouraging individual and social development, and helping participants build greater self-reliance in everyday life. It also promotes integration within the community, works to influence public attitudes toward people with intellectual disabilities, and supports vocational activation. Through these activities, Fundacja DOM seeks to expand opportunities for participation and independence.
The organization operates in Poland within the public-benefit and volunteer framework. It was entered in the National Court Register in March 2005.
