Fundacja Onkologiczna

The Upper Silesian Oncology Foundation (Górnośląska Fundacja Onkologiczna, GFO) is a nonprofit organization that supports patients and staff of the National Oncology Institute in Gliwice in line with its statutory mission. Its work focuses on practical assistance, education, community and wellbeing for people affected by cancer and those close to them. The foundation invites supporters to contribute through donations, volunteering and other forms of giving, including the allocation of 1.5% of personal income tax.

GFO offers patient-focused initiatives such as a patient club, online Onko Kawka meetings, a helpline, workshops and social activities. Its education program includes conferences, guides and projects covering cancer-related topics, fertility, clinical trials and wellbeing.
