Fund a Learner is a crowdfunding platform that helps enrolled students overcome unexpected financial setbacks and stay on track to graduate. It connects students facing urgent costs with donors who want to help them complete the education or training they have already begun. Students can apply for funding by sharing their circumstances, explaining what they need, and outlining how they will use the money. The platform reviews enrollment evidence and supporting documents, with verification intended to build donor confidence. Students publish itemized campaign budgets, receive funds directly to their bank after a campaign ends, and share updates on their progress.
Donors can browse verified campaigns, contribute an amount of their choice, and follow students’ outcomes. Campaigns feature students in fields including nursing, engineering, welding, and HVAC, with needs such as housing, transportation, or costs following job loss or family hardship. Fund a Learner also shares success stories and campaign updates, emphasizing the link between timely financial support, continued enrollment, and graduation.
