Fundamentals Therapy provides pediatric occupational therapy and DIR/Floortime services for children and families throughout Miami-Dade and Broward counties. Led by Tova Fund, MS, OTR/L, the practice offers in-home occupational therapy, Floortime parent coaching, developmental and occupational therapy evaluations, and school consultations. Services are available in children’s homes and schools, bringing support into the settings where they play, learn, and connect with others.

The practice’s Floortime approach is grounded in the Developmental, Individual differences, and Relationship-based (DIR) model. It focuses on understanding each child’s developmental stage and unique ways of engaging with the world, while using warm, responsive relationships to encourage growth. Parents are supported in joining their child’s interests through play and gently creating opportunities for shared attention, turn-taking, problem-solving, emotional regulation, imagination, and communication. Rather than relying on drills or directing play, Floortime emphasizes connection, trust, and following the child’s lead. Fundamentals Therapy works with families seeking guidance for children with autism, communication differences, or other developmental needs.
