Funeaurns

Scutoid Urns creates memorial urns inspired by the scutoid, a shape found in the human body’s epithelial tissue and identified by scientists from the University of Seville in 2018. The brand presents its urns as both practical vessels for ashes and works of art, designed to offer a thoughtful, dignified way to remember loved ones. Their simple, elegant forms emphasize proportion, balance, symmetry, and harmony, reflecting the natural geometry that inspired them.

The collection includes urns shaped as unique scutoids, with the option to combine two urns into a single piece. This paired design echoes the way scutoids occur in the body and provides a distinctive approach to commemorating two people together. The brand describes burial in one of its urns as a harmonious tribute to the deceased.

The website features offers, a portfolio, and information about the scutoid form, along with a newsletter for updates. Its central focus is the creation and presentation of sculptural urns that bring natural form and meaningful remembrance together.
