Armstrongs Independent Funeral Service is an award-winning, family-owned funeral director based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. As a locally established independent business, it focuses on personal care, honest advice and giving families the time and support they need, without pressure from corporate targets. Its team brings more than 200 years of combined experience and is available around the clock for urgent assistance, guidance and arrangements.

Armstrongs provides individually planned funerals, with options including tailored and standardised services, direct cremation, green funerals and pre-payment plans. Families can choose from different coffin and casket types, hearse options—including a vintage Volkswagen hearse—and floral tributes. Additional services include tribute pages and donations, fingerprint keepsakes, memorial pins, ashes made into glass and tree planting through eForests. The firm also offers practical guidance on what to do after a death, arranging and personalising a funeral, and carrying the coffin, alongside aftercare and bereavement support. Its website includes prices, brochures, testimonials and resources for families, as well as information for children and help with writing eulogies.
