FMA – Funktionsrätt med ansvar rf is a disability rights organisation representing Swedish-speaking, sign-language and bilingual organisations, particularly in the neurological field, in Swedish-speaking Finland. Through its 10 ordinary member associations and one associate member, FMA represents approximately 800 people with disabilities whose first language is Swedish or Finland-Swedish Sign Language.

The organisation focuses on information, self-determination and advocacy. Its work includes promoting support for the Swedish language within bilingual organisations and developing peer activities with the support of personal assistance. FMA also provides information and materials, publishes reports and surveys, and shares news and updates about its work. FMA’s work addresses a broad range of disability-related experiences, including physical, cognitive and mental disabilities, autism, hearing and visual impairments, epilepsy and brain injuries.
