About FUNRIDE Surf Camp
FUNRIDE Surf Camp & Surf School offers surf holidays in the Algarve, Portugal, combining instruction, accommodation and outdoor activities in a relaxed, friendly setting. Founded in 2002 by local surfer Samuel Furtado, the camp is located in the Costa Vicentina Natural Park, in the quiet historic village of Raposeira. It is about five minutes from Sagres and the south coast, and 15 minutes from the west coast, giving guests access to a variety of surf spots and conditions.
The surf school welcomes beginners, intermediate surfers and advanced participants, with professional instructors providing surf lessons. Guests can choose to stay in the main house, bungalows or sheds, and enjoy the garden, swimming pool, BBQ evenings and campfires. The camp also offers surf rentals and SUP tours. Beyond surfing, visitors can join excursions to Sagres, explore the area around Sagres and Lagos, or go horseback riding in the countryside. FUNRIDE presents its camp as a place for surfing, relaxation and social connection amid the Algarve’s beaches and natural landscape.
