Fundamentals Sports

Fundamentals Sports Camp is a summer day camp that combines sports instruction with character education for boys and girls. Serving families at locations in New Jersey, the camp offers children a chance to learn the skills, rules, and concepts behind a variety of sports and games while taking part in entertaining activities. Each week features a focus sport, which campers learn about and play at least once each day, alongside opportunities to try other sports.

Character building is central to the camp’s approach. Coaches encourage confidence, sportsmanship, teamwork, commitment, and respect through activities and conversations about topics such as sports in current events and positive role models. The camp says its coaches are professionally trained educators with experience teaching young children. On Fridays, campers and coaches take part in an all-camp game day, applying lessons and skills from the week. Children also create a Play Book with notes and crafts that reinforce the off-field curriculum and serve as a keepsake.
