Chiba Prefectural Welfare Fureai Plaza is a public welfare and community facility located inside Keyaki Plaza, a one-minute walk from the south exit of Abiko Station on the JR Joban Line. It supports the well-being of Chiba residents, from children to older adults, by promoting knowledge and skills related to elder care, offering opportunities for preventive exercise, and providing spaces for sports, cultural, and community activities.

The plaza brings together several services. Its Preventive Care Training Center offers exercise facilities and training programs, while the Care Practice Center provides public education, consultation, a welfare equipment display and experience area, and rooms available for hire. Visitors can also use the Fureai Hall and gallery for events and cultural activities. The facility hosts workshops and community initiatives, including programs for caregivers and courses on establishing community cafés, and organizes events such as a welfare equipment exhibition. Rental facilities require user registration. The plaza is generally open during daytime and evening hours and closes on Mondays, or the following weekday when Monday is a public holiday.
