About Fusilli
FUSILLI is a collaborative European project that aims to support cities and urban areas in addressing global challenges related to food systems. The project focuses on developing a sustainable and equitable food system in Tampere, Finland, as well as internationally. At the heart of FUSILLI are innovation and experimentation.
During the project, Tampere will become a living lab for building a sustainable food system. The project involves various organizations, including the City of Tampere, Tampere University of Applied Sciences (TAMK), Ahlman, and Ekokumppanit. FUSILLI is funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 programme, which supports research, information, and innovation.
The goal is to create a food plan for cities that ensures a transition towards a safe, healthy, sustainable, inclusive, fair, and cost-effective food system. Decision-makers, educational institutions, students, researchers, and citizens are actively involved in developing the food system through living labs.
