About FutaleufuRiverkeeper
Futaleufú Riverkeeper is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to protecting and conserving the Futaleufú River and its surrounding watershed. Located in the town of Futaleufú in Chilean Patagonia, our team consists of passionate individuals from Chile and around the world who are committed to preserving the diverse ecosystems of our planet. As a member of the Waterkeeper Alliance, an international network of water defenders, we join forces to ensure clean water is safeguarded globally.
We monitor the Futaleufú watershed, identifying emerging threats to water and ecosystem health, and take action through policy work and community initiatives to combat these threats. We provide quantitative and qualitative information to advocate for public policies that protect the rights of rivers and communities. With a focus on environmental stewardship and sustainable development, we work to strengthen and promote initiatives that benefit both the watershed and the communities that rely on it.
