Fuzei

Fuzei + Tree is a tree-pruning and landscape-design service focused on helping clients create beautiful, functional spaces shaped around trees. Its approach combines landscape type, pruning, and garden experience to match each tree’s needs with the owner’s goals, while considering ambience, long-term growth, and ease of maintenance. The business works with a wide range of forms, from naturalistic pruning and garden bonsai to niwaki, hedges, espalier, productive orchard shapes, formal pines, junipers, spruce, and fruit trees.

Fuzei + Tree offers residential pruning, tree design, and guidance for people who want to care for their own trees. Clients can seek answers to pruning questions, book a learning pruning session, or have the team design and establish a framework for a tree. Work is tailored to different levels of finish: highly sculpted, manicured, or natural and restorative, each with distinct maintenance needs. The service also considers how shaped trees can contribute to wayfinding and the experience of a landscape.
