Fyke Nature

The Fyke Nature Association is a tax-exempt, nonprofit charitable organization founded in 1952 to preserve undeveloped land in Bergen County, New Jersey. Dedicated to conservation and environmental protection, it works to protect and steward natural places in a densely populated region. The association co-manages the Celery Farm nature preserve in northern New Jersey, where volunteers maintain trails and carry out habitat restoration, including removing introduced non-native species and planting native plants.

Fyke offers educational programs and workshops throughout the year for people of all ages. It also organizes field trips across New Jersey and southeastern New York for birding, botany, and general nature study. Members and visitors can use resources such as self-guided explorations and an annual bird checklist to learn about and enjoy the Celery Farm. The association shares news and information through its quarterly newsletter, website, email list, and social media. Supporters can join or renew memberships, make donations, contribute requested items through the preserve’s wish list, or purchase the annual Celery Farm calendar.
