Since its establishment in 2014, g0v Jothon has been connecting partners from different sectors, including open-source communities, government agencies, international collaborations, civic tech education, and NGOs/NPOs. By fostering collaboration and sharing of technical expertise and ideas, g0v Jothon has become a driving force in Taiwan's open-source community, contributing to the country's social impact. As the organizers of the large-scale Hackathon and Infrathon events, g0v Jothon also launched the Civic Tech Prototype Grant in 2017.

This initiative encourages collaboration between different organizations and provides financial support to projects that have the potential to benefit the public. In addition, g0v Jothon established the Sch001 project in 2020, which focuses on rethinking the role of education in the digital era. To adapt to the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, g0v Jothon launched the Jothon Online platform, enabling online collaboration and organizing successful virtual hackathons.
