About G1RMP
G1R:MP is an independent, non-commercial fan project that adds community multiplayer to Gothic 1 Remake. Its free modification provides a technical foundation for players to meet in the Valley of Mines and experience the game world together, while leaving the original game intact. Public Release 0.
1. 6 uses Protocol 38 and offers a Windows x64 player client, along with dedicated server builds for Windows x64 and Linux x64. Players can join community worlds or host their own without platform lock-in, shaping servers around roleplay, cooperative play, factions, stories, or other community-created formats.
G1R:MP does not sell access or include the game itself; users need a legitimate copy of Gothic 1 Remake to play. The project also provides a wiki, FAQ, forum, and server information to help players get started and connect with the community.
