Green Apple

The Green Apple Accreditation Commission of Social Services is an accreditation organization focused on raising standards in behavioral health, education, and community services. It works with providers serving children, families, and communities, using quality assurance, certification, and accreditation to promote safety, compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement.

The Commission accredits behavioral health programs, including mental health services, substance abuse treatment, residential treatment, and community-based care. Its children’s services and education accreditation covers childcare centers, preschools, early education centers, after-school and enrichment programs, tutoring services, exceptional-needs programs, and K–12 private schools. It also serves public health agencies and community service organizations.

Organizations can apply for accreditation, access training, and seek guidance through a process the Commission describes as supportive and transparent. Its member directory helps the public find affiliated schools, behavioral health providers, and social service programs. The Commission also offers opportunities to join committees and take part in events, including The Whole Summit. Through these activities, Green Apple aims to help providers strengthen the quality and sustainability of their services.
