About Greater Ann Arbor Quilt Guild
The Greater Ann Arbor Quilt Guild (GAAQG) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the art and preservation of quilting, patchwork, appliqué, and related fiber arts. With over 260 members, this guild has been thriving since its establishment in 1987 by 11 passionate individuals. GAAQG hosts five Quilt Day Meetings per year, held on the third Saturday of odd-numbered months.
These meetings, both in-person and on Zoom, offer a wide range of activities and opportunities. Attendees can enjoy informative lectures by guest speakers, participate in Show & Tell segments showcasing members' quilts, and contribute to quilts made for SafeHouse Center, a local organization supporting those affected by domestic violence and sexual assault. Additionally, GAAQG offers small group gatherings, allowing members to connect, learn, and grow together.
The guild has hosted renowned speakers such as Michelle Jackson, Tara Faughnan, and Dana Jones, providing an enriching experience for all quilting enthusiasts. Join the Greater Ann Arbor Quilt Guild today to explore the fascinating world of quilting and become part of a vibrant and supportive community
