Gadedigteren

Gadedigteren is the professional and creative platform of Danish poet, storyteller and performer Christian Kronman. He offers guided tours of Assistens Cemetery in Copenhagen, including regular Sunday tours during the season, and can be booked for talks, storytelling and tailored poetry performances. His work brings Danish literature, history and personal experience to life through spoken word, recitation, humour and engaging anecdotes.

Kronman’s talks explore poets including Thomas Kingo, Halfdan Rasmussen, Ludvig Holberg and Sophus Claussen, often revealing lesser-known aspects of their lives and writing. His storytelling ranges from autobiographical memories of childhood and youth to original, invented tales. For conferences, receptions, celebrations and other events, he creates performances suited to the occasion, selecting poems and connecting them with humorous commentary in consultation with the organiser.

Gadedigteren also shares poems, videos and other literary material, including monthly poems and works connected with Evighedskortene and the Evighedskalender. Kronman has performed and spoken at schools, folk high schools, associations, churches, festivals, libraries and cultural venues across Denmark.
